An interesting Trip (we almost die)

Hi , today im gonna talk you 'bout one of the most interesting trip i ever had: The Enladrillado trekking in Lircay.

Saturday October 29, 2022. Me and two cousins went to Talca to have a halloween's adventure in the mountains "near" there. The plan was get to "El Enladrillado" in the Altos de Lircay National Park at sunset. This place is a strange plain in the middle of the Andes Mountains, famous by UFO sighting, an ideal site for halloween.

But soon as we arrived to Talca's bus terminal, bad things started to happen. First of all, that day only ONE bus was going to Vilches (60km away of Talca), which was the nearest place to the park. We got late, so we missed the bus. We took other bus to San Clemente (30 km away of Vilches) and then we started walk down the road, and we got helped by some good people in their car and finally we could arrive to Vilches, around 2pm .

We were laughing until we reach the entrance of the park, cos' the CONAF's ranger told us that the camping's zones were full of people so we cannot pass. But one ranger recommended us an alternative way "not oficial" by "Piedras Blancas" with not oficial camping zone and more dificult, we hadn't another way so we accept the challenge.

The slope was high, but the landscapes were awesome including a gigant water fall and finally we got to Piedras Blancas which was covered with some snow, from there we have to cross a relative high mountain called "Cerro Peine". We felt good so we started to climb, but little by little we began to felt tired and in the middle of the process we decided to going down towards Piedras Blancas again to camp there and in the next day's morning climb the mountain again.

With the camp made, we cooked some spaghetti and then we started to sleep... but at around 3am the hell started. The noise of the wind woke up us, that wind was particulary heavy (around 60 kilometers per hour) and very very very cold. The tent moved a lot side to side violentally. We were very afraid cos we were alone. My cousins left the tent to put some rocks inside to protect the tent. We couldn´t sleep for the loud sound of that polar wind. Suddenly aprox at 4:30am, a piece of the tent started to broke. In that moment i thought that i was going to die of hipotermia. We fought all the night and finally we started to saw some sunlight, but the wind was still hitting us so using the morning's sunlights we gone down to a safer site to eat something a later walk to Vilches again to come back to ur homes.

And that happened, was the first time that i believed seriously that i was going to die.
